Our church consists of 2 congregations (Chinese-speaking and English-speaking). The English-speaking congregation is made up of approx. 50 members (50% youth & 50% adults).We are looking for a full-time pastor to lead the English-speaking congregation.
The pastor is responsible for conducting the weekly Sunday worship service. He is to coordinate Sunday school classes. He will guide various small groups, including the youth, the young adult, and the adult fellowships. He is responsible to recruit and equip lay leaders for ministry.
Furthermore, the pastor is expected to attend prayer meetings on Sunday mornings & Wed. evenings. He oversees the worship team & works with the senior pastor and the deacon board. Other admin duties include attending monthly deacon board meetings and reporting on various ministries.
The ideal candidate has the following attributes:
1) Masters of Divinity/equivalent
2) Experience/sensitivity in working with Asian culture
3) Experience in youth ministry
4) Experience in training and equipping lay leaders to serve in the church
5) Strength in preaching and teaching
NOTE: only candidates located in the US and Canada will be considered.
