Our church is a vibrant historic downtown church associated with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. It is located in the Warsaw/Winona Lake area of Indiana and enjoys a long tradition of music excellence. Nevertheless, our music style is eclectic meaning that we enjoy styles ranging from traditional to contemporary. We have a wonderful organ, an orchestra consisting of professionals, other adults and youth, and are developing a contemporary sound with a band. We believe that worship should be the substantive outpouring of our love for God and the grace we've received so we emphasize content over style. Our worship seeks to develop a theme around which we blend music, scripture, video and occasional drama and the message.
Position Description:
This person would be responsible for working with the worship planning team to develop the content of the worship service and then to lead the congregation in worship.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Meet with worship planning team to assist in planning and development of worship services.
* Lead congregation in Sunday morning worship services and other services as requested.
* Recruit, develop, lead and shepherd the choir, orchestra, praise teams, AV team and others associated with the music and worship ministry.
* Oversee the audio/visual team for all services.
* Work with worship planning team in developing format, logistics and technical aspects of worship services.
* Stay current in areas of development in music and AV ministry.
* Attend church-related functions as a way of networking with congregation.
* Accept other responsibilities as agreed to with pastor.
* Meet with Worship & Fellowship Team monthly to enable their support of worship ministry.

* A personal and passionate relationship with Jesus Christ.
* A lifestyle that is centered on worship.
* Ability to lead others in a worship encounter with God.
* Strong music and leadership skills enabling the leading of choir, orchestra, praise teams and praise band.
* Be a people oriented team player.
* AV skills.
* An able vision caster and recruiter of new team members.
Future Development:
Although this is currently a part-time position of approximately 20 to 28 hours weekly with comensurate salary, it could eventually grow to full-time.
