Who are we: We are First Presbyterian Church of Newark, a 200+ member church with a children’s program that is ready to blossom. We currently have a small number of children, but great potential for growth. What we are looking for: We need an enthusiastic team player who will develop and lead our Children’s Ministry Program, including:
Sunday School
Children’s Church
Nursery Care
Mid-week Kid's Club
Vacation Bible School
Position Details: A successful candidate will have strong written & verbal communication skills, experience working with children, experience recruiting and training volunteers, and previous teaching and/or team management experience. Must be self-motivated, independent, and have an active Christian faith and knowledge of spiritual formation and discipleship. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work/volunteer experience is desired.
Time Commitment: Average of 12 hours per week
Compensation: Salaried $9,000 - $10,000, depending on experience.
