Associate Pastor of Youth and Families
Role:
A central focus of the church is the children and youth in the communities we serve. The Associate Pastor of Youth and Families position is open after our previous associate pastor of 13 years accepted a senior pastor role. The Associate Pastor:
Connects with youth through ministries and through community avenues.
Teaches and compassionately counsels youth through complex and difficult topics from a biblical framework.
Partners with, guides, and trains lay leaders to teach and counsel youth and children.
Provides organizational and directional leadership with the existing volunteer staff in both youth ministry and children's ministries.
Other duties in consultation with the Senior Pastor and Elders.
Compensation and Benefits:
Full-time Salary and Housing Allowance commensurate with education and experience.
Vacation. Disability insurance. Book allowance. Ministry expense account. Weekly sabbath day.

Job Qualifications:
Candidate:
Our ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for connecting with and discipling youth in the church and the communities we serve.
The candidate should show a growing maturity congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (I Timothy 3).
The preferred candidate should excel in relational leadership but also possess competencies in administration, teaching, and evangelism.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Christian Education, Youth/Pastoral Ministry, Bible, or other relevant field and previous youth ministry experience (paid or volunteer) are strongly preferred.
